Josh Baird
Hey there this is Josh from Hudson, North Carolina!
By day, I'm your friendly neighborhood motorcycle performance engineer. But outside of the nine-to-five, you'll find me on two wheels, living out my passion for motorcycles.
I've been riding since I could barely reach the handlebars, starting with dirt bikes and tearing up the motocross scene. Even now, I still hit the dirt whenever I can. Back in the day, I even dabbled in kart racing – both on pavement and dirt tracks.
But it was in 2021 that I found my true love: road racing with the super hooligans. There's something special about the diversity of bikes and people in this class – it's all about having a blast on the track.
So, whether I'm fine-tuning engines or tearing up the asphalt, you can bet I've got a smile on my face. Here's to the open road and the camaraderie of fellow riders – let's keep the good times rolling!

Shane Maggs
Coming from Cricket, I was an Overseas Professional for 4 x years in the UK. After playing Premier Grade in Australia, I retired in 2016 finding an ever-growing passion for Motorcycle Racing.
Starting to Race in 2014 and winning the Novice Championship, the passion and addiction grew very quickly, competing at State and National Level before relocating to the US in 2016.
In 2017, I flew back to Australia for all 4 x rounds of the Victorian Road Racing Championships, finishing 3rd overall in the Supersport class. Having a two-year break from racing due to work commitments in Los Angeles, I relocated to Nashville, and began racing again in 2020.
From 2021-2024 Seasons I have been racing as a full-time rider for Motor Drone Endurance Race Team where I competed at all WERA/N2 Endurance Race Series.
Between those, I also have been racing in WERA Expert, winning/placing in multiple races with a highlight this season becoming National Champion for 600 Superbike, 600 Superstock, C Superbike
and C Superstock.
In 2024, I also raced Professionally with MotoAmerica, commencing at the Daytona 200 finishing 21st with over 60+ competitors, and 3x MotoAmerica Supersport races at Atlanta, Barber and Mid Ohio
with multiple top 20 finishes.
In 2025, I competed in the full series for MotoAmerica in the Supersport category, usually finishing between 15-20th position with a top finish of 15th and my first championship point at Laguna Seca. I also entered the Daytona 200 again, finishing 20th on a Stock Engine.
With further sponsorship in 2026, I hope to continue competing at National Level within MotoAmerica
in the Supersport class as a Privateer. Competing at this level takes a considerable commitment.
From 4 wheels to 2 wheels, Mark
understands what it takes to get around a racetrack quickly and efficiently. Whether it’s Moto America, Endurance racing, or WERA sprints, Mark brings many experiences and
knowledge to share with anyone who desires to go faster and improve their riding skills.
What sets Mark apart is his ability to recognize each riders unique challenges and help a rider get past their personal challenges by effectively communicating what exactly is needed from a coaching standpoint. Focusing on effective communication, braking techniques, line choices, and bike set up are his specialties. Also, using GoPro footage,
Mark will critique rider line choices and point out where improvements can be made before afternoon sessions!

Chris Ulrich
After finishing my 23 year racing career, 18 spent in the AMA paddock, I took over racing operations for Team Hammer, inc, which currently races in the MotoAmerica Series as Vision Wheel M4 ECSTAR Suzuki. The team has won four championships, wracked up dozens of wins, and 100s of podiums.
In addition to my management duties at the races, I am the pilot for the Dunlop Two-Seat Superbike. This program was started in 2001 for media outreaches, but morphed into a VIP and fan experience program in 2016. MotoAmerica and Team Hammer use the program as a way to engage fans and VIPs, while also bringing awareness to and raising money for the Roadracing World Action Fund, a 501 (c) 3 dedicated to improving safety by demonstrating soft barriers at race tracks.
While racing, I started writing motorcycle reviews for Roadracing World in 2000. There are too many bike tests and reviews to list, but that has been a great opportunity to learn how a motorcycle works and then communicate it to readers.
I started coaching for the Team hammer Advanced Riding School in 1997 at age 17. I updated the curriculum and took over classroom operations in 2014. Since then, we have had several zero crash days at Daytona.
In 2016, I joined the United States Coaching Association Board, a non-profit organization focused on growing the sport of motorcycling by building a network of certified coaches. We have several. I am the Sportbike advisor on the volunteer board. My responsibilities include everything from outreach to coach certification. We have certified the entire staff at the Superbike School and SportRiderCoaching. We also have also certified several coaches from the Champ School.
I can coach all levels of rider from top MotoAmerica pros to brand new riders.

Kayla Yaakov
Kayla Yaakov Area 31 coaching offers professional tailored coaching to her students making her one of the most sought after professional coaches in the country.
Whether her students are seasoned racers or beginner track riders the coaching program is designed around the students and their goals to becoming a better rider. She will first spend time prior to the track going green to get to know her students and what they feel they’re needing to improve on.
She will then set the daily schedule with them which can consist of her leading, following on track and debriefing between each session from video taken on board. At some events, if she’s accompanied by her crew, she can assist with bike set up at no extra charge which can also be a key factor in overall bike feel for the student. This can build confidence for the student and help them achieve their goals quicker and safer. During her coaching program if she sees areas not mentioned by the student needing improvement she will try to address these as well while still helping the student with their original goals.
A typical 1-1 day would consist of a track walk in the morning (if time and track allows), track map overview, set goals for the day, first on-track session track familiarization with video footage to review during first debrief right after first session. Then lead/follow track sessions the rest of the day with video footage for debriefs in between sessions.
A typical multi-rider coaching day would be similar to 1–1except all riders share the first on-track familiarization session then split the remaining sessions equally for 1-1 on track sessions throughout the day.
At most events I will have a member of my race program (usually my dad! 🙂) to help any student with baseline suspension set-up on their bike.

AJ CIAMPA
I started riding motorcycles when I was 19 years old. It quickly became something I knew would stay with me for the rest of my life. I spent the next couple of decades riding various bikes on the street...commuting, long touring trips...any excuse to hop on two wheels!
Fast forward to 2009 when I decided to do my first track day. I was hooked! My love of the sport quickly became a passion. Track days and racing replaced long rides and commuting. I worked hard to improve, attended YCRS as a student in 2012, followed by two years of private instruction. I craved improvement.
We all have room to improve, yes, even me ;-) I see my improvement as not just a way for me to enjoy the sport, but also as a necessity to ensure I am bringing my clients the best possible focus, technique and guidance to help them reach their goals.
On or off the bike, I am always training. Fitness, mental focus, improving my technique...I am constantly looking for ways to improve my riding and my coaching. I set goals for myself just like my clients do and I work on them. But I realize that I cannot do this alone.
